FORECAST: The Owens Valley, Mammoth and Mono County

TUESDAY 27-MAR-2012

Another low pressure system passing thru the PACNW, will sage just far enough south to effect Mono County, Tuesday night into Wednesday. Light snow is possible here. The Owens Valley looks to get a slight chance at rain, but mostly just clouds. Flat ridging builds in on Thu and Fri to give the area warming temps and partly cloudy skies.

FOR THE OWENS VALLEY:

Today: Mainly sunny then a few clouds tonight. Highs 61 – 66 and lows 40 – 45. Winds SW 10 – 15 mph G 30 tonight.
Wednesday: Mostly cloudy becoming partly cloudy at night. Slight chance at a shower or two. Highs 64 – 69 and lows 40 – 45. Winds SW 10 – 20 mph G 35.

FOR THE TOWN OF MAMMOTH LAKES:

Today: Mostly cloudy with a 30% chance of snow tonight. Highs 41 and lows 30. Winds SW 15 – 20 mph G 35.
Wednesday: 100% chance of snow showers. Highs 41 and lows 27. Winds SW 20 mph G 30.

FOR MONO COUNTY:

Today: Mostly cloudy with a slight chance of rain and snow later night.  Highs 46 – 51 and lows 27 – 32. Winds SW 15 – 25 mph G 35.
Wednesday: Chance of rain and snow then a slight chance in the evening. Highs 45 – 50 and lows 28 – 33. Winds SW 10 -20 mph G 30.
