FORECAST: The Owens Valley, Mammoth and Mono County

MONDAY 02-APR-2012

Weak high pressure has settled in over the district bringing dry weather and warming temps. Over the weekend Mammoth Mountain got 6 inches of snow and June Mountain received 3 inches. The next upstream kicker will bring a chance of showers in the high county on Wednesday before moving on to the Great Basin Thursday. Right now at least, another ridge moves over the district with dry conditions until Saturday.

FOR THE OWENS VALLEY:

Today: Mostly sunny then partly cloudy in the evening. Highs around 64 – 69 and lows 40 – 45. Winds N 10 – 20 mph.
Tuesday: Mainly sunny then partly cloudy at night. Highs 71 – 76 and lows 45 – 50. Winds SW 5 – 10 mph.

FOR THE TOWN OF MAMMOTH LAKES:

Today: Mostly sunny then partly cloudy in the evening . Highs around 48 and lows 29. Winds N 5 – 10 mph.
Tuesday: Partly sunny becoming mostly cloudy overnight.  Highs 56 and lows 27. Winds increasing SW 15 – 25 mph G 45.

FOR MONO COUNTY:

Today: Partly cloudy. Highs 50 – 55 and lows 24 – 29. Winds N 10 – 15 mph.
Tuesday: Partly to mostly cloudy. Highs 60 – 65  and lows 25 – 30. Winds increasing SW 20 – 30 mph G 50.
