FORECAST: The Owens Valley, Mammoth and Mono County

Strong late Spring storm lifts eastward today into Northern Nevada and Idaho. In its wake, cool temps and breezy conditions. Yesterday at the Fort Independence Met Station we had a max gust of 54.7 mph. Winds will not be as bad today, tapering off this evening as NW winds work their way into Nevada.Temps should run to 20 degrees cooler today. Gradual warming then thru the weekend with off/on breezy conditions.

FOR THE OWENS VALLEY:

Today: Mainly sunny. Highs 74 – 77 and lows 50. Winds NW 10 – 20 mph.
Wednesday: Mostly sunny. Highs 80 and lows 53 – 56. Winds NW 10 – 15 mph.

FOR THE TOWN OF MAMMOTH LAKES:

Today: Mostly sunny. Highs 47 and lows 29. Winds W 10 – 15 mph G 25.
Wednesday: Mostly sunny with mostly clear in the evening. Highs 57 and lows 37. Winds NE 5 – 10 mph.

FOR MONO COUNTY:

Today: Partly cloudy becoming clear.  Highs 49 – 54 and lows 28 – 33. Winds W 10 – 15 mph G 30.
Wednesday: Sunny. Highs 61 – 71 lows 29 – 39. Winds NE 10 mph.
