SATURDAY June 23, 2012

A strong and cold upper low has dropped down from the GOA and now stretches from the PACNW down the CA Coast.  It will remain mostly stationary thru the weekend and this airmass will bring cooling to our district. So todays highs will only be in the mid to upper 80s for the Owens Valley and about 63 degrees for Mammoth; well below normal for late June. Right now it looks like the low will lift NE by Tuesday, bringing gradual warming thru the rest of this week.
