“Giving you the reasons why Eastern Sierra weather happens.”
FRIDAY June 01, 2012
Temps bump up a few degrees today along with a chance of showers and t-storms over the Crest this afternoon and evening. This due to a weak shortwave embedded in the ridge (this is called a dirty ridge). This system will also start a slight cooling trend over the weekend. Then a secondary and stronger system will push thru Northern California on Monday. This will bring a chance of showers over the Crest and drop temperatures Monday and Tuesday (s0me 10 – 15 degrees below today). Gusty winds are expected with this system as well.
